Getting started on Monster API

Monster API provides you a simple platform to help you get started with consuming Generative AI APIs and add them in your application. Below are some steps that you can follow to get started with using Monster APIs for your workflows:

Steps menu:

Step 1: Create an Account and get free credits

To get started with Monster API, you'll need to create an account on our platform. Head over to our "Sign Up" page. You may sign up easily via Google or Github or your email.

Depending on your choice, you may sign up with either of the above mentioned methods. Using these free credits you can quickly test Monster API platform and see if it is a right fit for your requirements.

Step 2: Obtain API Keys

Once you've created an account, you'll need to obtain API keys that will allow you to access our Generative AI model APIs. To do this, log in to your account and navigate to the "API Keys" section of the dashboard. Here's a quick link for "API Keys" page.

Here, you'll be able to generate new API keys that you can use to authenticate your requests.

On clicking "Generate New Key", you'll need to add an identifier name for your Key. This is a name that you can specify of your choice and it will help you identify your keys in future.

Once generated, it will display 2 values namely:

  1. X-API-key

  2. Auth token

You'll need both values. So copy them and store them somewhere safely.

You may refer to our detailed guide on how to obtain and use API Keys.

Step 3: Choose an AI Model

Monster API provides several pre-hosted Generative AI models like:

  1. Stable diffusion v1.5 for text to image and image to image generation,

  2. Instruct-Pix2pix for image editing

  3. OpenAI Whisper large-v2 for speech to text transcription.

Depending on your business requirement you may choose a specific AI model API from your dashboard and then click on that specific AI model card to open that model's page.

On the model page, you'll find additional details on how to access this AI model and how much it will cost for each request.

You may even click on "API Playground" button to test out the AI model through our web based graphical user interface. It provides all the parameters that you may tweak to achieve the desired results. This GUI reduces the effort for you to test our APIs.

Step 4: Choose a Programming Language

Monster API supports a variety of programming languages, including CURL, Python, Node.js, and PHP. Choose the language that you're most comfortable with and check out our API documentation to learn how to integrate our APIs into your application.

Step 5: Test Your Integration

To ensure that your integration is working properly, we recommend starting with a simple test case. For example, you might try using our Stable Diffusion API to generate a random image, or our Pix2Pix API to edit any image by just typing in your text prompt. This will help you verify that your API keys are working and that your integration is properly configured.

Step 6: Get Help When You Need It

If you run into any issues or have questions about using our platform, our team is always here to help. You can contact us via email or live chat, and we'll be happy to assist you with any issues you may encounter.
